In 2013, I entered the Urban Land Institute's Student Design Competition while I was pursuing my Master's degree in Urban Planning, Development, and Design. I was part of a 5-person team, and handled many different tasks - including the top-down view of the plan in the top left, and the layout of this entire board (our talented architecture teammates took on the renderings). We had 2 weeks to devise a plan for the Downtown East neighborhood in Minneapolis. I believed we pulled 5 all-nighters in the course of that time to meet the deadline on top of our courseload. It was an incredible experience, and we ended up with a product we were all very proud of.
